Eh...? They ain't exactly inspired suggestions. You were worried about havin' to do it multiple times 'cause ya messed up, so I said ya could do it multiple times and mess up all ya want. Before, you wanted a way to leave somethin' that wouldn't just heal, so I just said the way to do that.

You are underestimating the value of your own perspective! For one thing, for both of those specific examples, your informed consent is an even more important component than usual. The fact that the suggestion is coming from you means that you are not just going along with it.

And also, I would never consider them on my own.

[He is tugging off the second boot by now.]

I know you don't... Or, at least, you have said so often, and I have been taking you at your word. But it is still nice to have evidence in context.

Just because I have enjoyed this so far, do you think I should stop volunteering how I am enjoying it? Does it make no difference to you either way?

...That feels like it ain't quite the same thing. You made it sound like you're still worried I might just be goin' with the flow 'cause it's easier. I ain't worried about that... You wouldn't be doin' any of this if ya didn't wanna. It's just fun to hear ya figure out exactly what it is ya want and say it.

I assure you I will never think you might go along with anything because of it being easier specifically.

[He gets too hung up on this concept to bother sorting out the rest of the subtleties in this conversation, so he leaves it at that for now.]

Not significantly enough to be a real issue... but... Yes, I think they are different. I can tell that you have not been thinking of them as such. And it would probably be hard for me to separate it out in every instance, even when I hold this opinion.

But suggestin' somethin' separates 'em, huh...?

I guess that makes some kinda sense. Bein' willin' to do somethin' and havin' the will to do somethin' to make it happen yourself are different things.

[He sinks down onto the bed to be level with him, facing him.]

Mm. Though, suggesting something just makes it clear that it cannot be entertaining someone else's novel idea. I believe you can genuinely like things and make them happen even if they are not your idea. With you, specifically, I am not sure the difference is enough to be worth lingering on to this degree...

All I meant to say is that I appreciate your ability to suggest things that I would not suggest myself, and I appreciate that you being the one who suggests them means that your consent is implied preemptively.
