I know you don't... Or, at least, you have said so often, and I have been taking you at your word. But it is still nice to have evidence in context.

Just because I have enjoyed this so far, do you think I should stop volunteering how I am enjoying it? Does it make no difference to you either way?

[He kicks his pants to a pile on the floor.]

'Course it makes a difference. That's just... hmm...

[He sprawls out onto the mattress again, stretching out his limbs as he considers this.]

...That feels like it ain't quite the same thing. You made it sound like you're still worried I might just be goin' with the flow 'cause it's easier. I ain't worried about that... You wouldn't be doin' any of this if ya didn't wanna. It's just fun to hear ya figure out exactly what it is ya want and say it.

I assure you I will never think you might go along with anything because of it being easier specifically.

[He gets too hung up on this concept to bother sorting out the rest of the subtleties in this conversation, so he leaves it at that for now.]

Because you like interesting ideas and avoiding boredom.

Is that different than doin' it 'cause I enjoy it?

Not significantly enough to be a real issue... but... Yes, I think they are different. I can tell that you have not been thinking of them as such. And it would probably be hard for me to separate it out in every instance, even when I hold this opinion.

But suggestin' somethin' separates 'em, huh...?

[Vicious rolls onto his side, towards Ingo.]

I guess that makes some kinda sense. Bein' willin' to do somethin' and havin' the will to do somethin' to make it happen yourself are different things.

[He sinks down onto the bed to be level with him, facing him.]

Mm. Though, suggesting something just makes it clear that it cannot be entertaining someone else's novel idea. I believe you can genuinely like things and make them happen even if they are not your idea. With you, specifically, I am not sure the difference is enough to be worth lingering on to this degree...

All I meant to say is that I appreciate your ability to suggest things that I would not suggest myself, and I appreciate that you being the one who suggests them means that your consent is implied preemptively.

[He brushes Vicious's hair back from his face, mostly as an excuse to touch him.]

Did you want to get ready for your piercing? Or stay like this for a while?

[Vicious turns his head slightly into the touch.]

Do I gotta do somethin' to get ready...?

Well, I do. So I would have to get up.

[stirtheblood]

Hmmmm... well, this is nice too. Do you wanna get up? Or take a little more time, so you're ready when we're done?

[derailer]

That would not be the reason I took a little more time... It is comfortable like this.

Heh. I don't mind relaxin' a bit.

[derailer]

You did not have the opportunity to relax in the world you came from, did you?

Ehh, now and then I got to drink in peace for a bit. In inns if no one recognized me, or out in the wilderness if no monsters attacked.

There were a few quiet bits travelin' with everyone too. Though not so much recently, with enforcers comin' at us every second...

...I suppose that is not too different from the situation here. There is time to relax, but things will suddenly happen at any time...

Right. So ya gotta take advantage of the time when ya got it, right? For relaxin' as much as anythin' else.

[He wraps his arms around Vicious to squeeze tightly for a brief moment, to punctuate the point.]

[Vicious moves an arm over Ingo and flips his feather a bit.]

That said, relaxin' along with someone else is still pretty new for me.

It is really amazing how comforting physical contact can be, all on its own! I am glad you have been given the experience.
