Ehh, now and then I got to drink in peace for a bit. In inns if no one recognized me, or out in the wilderness if no monsters attacked.

There were a few quiet bits travelin' with everyone too. Though not so much recently, with enforcers comin' at us every second...

...I suppose that is not too different from the situation here. There is time to relax, but things will suddenly happen at any time...

Right. So ya gotta take advantage of the time when ya got it, right? For relaxin' as much as anythin' else.

[derailer]

[He wraps his arms around Vicious to squeeze tightly for a brief moment, to punctuate the point.]

[Vicious moves an arm over Ingo and flips his feather a bit.]

That said, relaxin' along with someone else is still pretty new for me.

It is really amazing how comforting physical contact can be, all on its own! I am glad you have been given the experience.

Nah. Everythin' goes away eventually, so if I went around not doin' stuff just 'cause o' that, I'd never do anythin'.

And what fun would that be?

Just in case, particularly since they are not appropriate materials, I wanted to at least sterilize the needle and clean the immediate area... Of course there are backups on hand... I have a book from the library for reference... And there is also lubricant readily available for afterwards.

[These things are in there, along with some more general first-aid materials. The needles are just sewing needles of various thicknesses from the tailor's materials, currently submerged in a jar of water.]

I think from this evidence we can deduce that the worry is not going to go away no matter what I do, so please consider it as stage fright. I hope it is not too off-putting.

Honestly... I've gone through this much effort for a whim...

[But framing it as a whim out loud again relieves some of the pressure. Even with a lot of effort and planning, this is a whimsical fleeting moment! It doesn't have to be a big deal!

He gathers the piercing from the nightstand as well, inspecting it.]

Ya got a bit of effort to go, still.

[The main mechanism of the jewelry is pretty simple - a straight bar with balls on both ends that screw on and off. The fancy dangling bit can slide off entirely.]
