Kanata and the others seem very grateful to see him alive, and then appalled when he offers to fight for them while they escape again. Vicious talks about willpower and how it's not about what you can do, it's what you want to do, and how Kanata wants to change the world and that's not the sort of thing you give up on partway.

Vicious says some kind of incantation about being a vessel of innumerable hatreds and the ruination of the world, and in a cloud of black flames transforms into some kind of demon. Everyone is predictably shocked.
The twins and the girl step up to fight him, but Vicious says they won't even last 10 seconds, which they don't. (Gameplay wise, you don't even get to tap the attack button.) He then turns to Kasque and says it's her turn.
